Why buy an organic cotton beekeeper’s suit?
In high temperatures, the APIPROTEC organic cotton suit is a must!
The organic cotton used to manufacture our protective clothing has not undergone any phytosanitary treatment. What’s more, it’s not bleached, so it retains all its soft, supple properties. The naturally ventilated mesh is silky to the touch and very comfortable to wear. We recommend a rather large size so that the garment is not worn too close to the body to generate internal ventilation (Bedouin style). We also recommend wearing a linen or cotton t-shirt under the large-size suit. Our wetsuits are made of abrasion- and tear-resistant twill.
Our beekeeping suits comply with the essential health and safety requirements of European Directive 89/686/EEC.

High-performance cotton twill in 300 grams. Twill weave is a tensile and wear-resistant weave.
– Highly resistant to wear, abrasion and tearing. Ideal for heavy-duty use.
– The cotton twill is comfortable and well-ventilated, perfect for optimum summer use.
– The rigidity of the lined cotton twill (600gr) ensures effective support, good visibility and perfect protection for the face and head. The loose-fitting design ensures good internal ventilation and prevents the suit from sticking to the skin.
– The rigidity of the entire veil ensures maximum comfort and protection for the face. An internal visual check verifies closure of the veil (see product photo slideshow).

Fabric – Tensile strength to ENISO 13934-1 = minimum 800 N

Weight per unit area of fabric to EN 12127 minimum 240g/m².
Mesh thickness to EN ISO 5084 > 2.5 mm
