As a young amateur beekeeper working in the digital sector, Sophie wanted to develop a useful and beneficial service for beekeepers and consumers.
This service is a networking platform, called The Honey Platform.
The Platform was born out of two observations.
On the one hand, beekeepers were telling Sophie that they were having trouble selling their honey harvests. Then, on the other, Sophie’s friends who didn’t know any beekeepers near them, and who went to supermarkets or organic stores to buy their honey.
To overcome these two difficulties, the idea was simple:

Since the launch of the Platform in August 2020, many connections have been made.
The community of beekeepers is growing by the week.
To keep up the momentum, Sophie works almost daily on the Plateforme du Miel.
Her aim is to help French beekeepers add value to their work, while creating a link with consumers.
What is the Honey Platform?
The Honey Platform brings beekeepers and consumers together.
It enables consumers to find honey and beekeepers close to home.
Consumers can contact beekeepers directly.
Who can be listed on the Honey Platform?
Any beekeeper with a SIRET number can be listed on the platform.
Registration is free, with one free ad (see terms and conditions).
How does it work for beekeepers?
The beekeeper chooses which honey or hive products to sell.
He also selects his means of sale (farm pick-up, market pick-up, delivery, postal shipment).
As soon as a consumer contacts us, he or she receives an email notification.
The beekeeper is now in contact with the consumer.
He organizes his sales independently and autonomously.
